What is the ASBA facility?

by NexGen Trading Academy  ·  Unit 48 of 100

Applications Supported by Blocked Amount (ASBA) is a payment mechanism used when applying for public issues such as Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). Under this facility, the application amount remains blocked in the investor's bank account until the share allotment process is completed. If shares are not allotted, the blocked amount is released without being debited.
